Language, like the human race itself is ever ever-changing and evolving to accomplish different things, or rather, the people who use diction as a tool to achieve their goals are continuously adapting to appeal to their readers/ listeners.

Take for instance, the language used by journalists and the media to recognise or depict war throughout history.
