Introduction

There are many myths and a dangerous cardinal in economics is that economic harvest-time is a pre-condition to crop and scantness eradication. Program and activities of economic growth are good and grand only if they contribute and aim at human development. consequently it is important that when Government sets its targets for economic growth, they should pursue broad-based economic growth with the main goal of improving the living standards of all the people. The growth inequality as indicated by the high Gini-coefficient of 53 is unacceptable, especially when Zambia in the past 5 to 6 years has been enjoying colossal growth through their favorable indicators.

In terms of macroeconomic indicators, Zambia has seen improved economic indicators during the period of the Fifth National victimisation fancy (FNDP).



However, an analysis of the current FNDP shows that the growth targets set were not reached in most of the sectors and even in the sectors where the targets were reached, such as mining, services, and the construction sector, the development took place in really venial parts of the country, causing high levels of inequality.
